Reports on Parish Council

Parish Minutes cannot be published until they have been approved by the following meeting - however it is quite proper for a personal report on the most recent meeting to be published.

Please note that this is exactly what follows - it is not an official record of events and is subject to errors and omissions.

February Meeting:

20 Mile an Hour Speed Limit. Norfolk Highways has still not delivered on these and is being chased having now missed two of its own deadlines.

Vacancies. Peter Brown and Teresa Brown were welcomed on to the parish Council.

Weight Limit. The suggestion that Low Road is unsuitable for HGVs has been passed by County Council Highways Division to the appropriate decision making group - no further action has been taken by them.

Hankinson’s Dyke. Freebridge has yet further meetings arranged with Councillors to consider the state of the dyke at the back of the estate - the Parish Council is becoming concerned by the lack of progress on this issue.

Boundary Change.  Borough Council will make progress on this matter on 6th March (to be confirmed on 29th March). Once the matter of procedure has been agreed they will then go through the process with this Parish and two others.

Gardens.  CGM has taken over the village gardens with effect from 1st February.

Jubilee. The PC appointed two representatives to the Diamond Jubilee Committee and has offered to seek out funding for the event if and when appropriate..
